We insist that our artists only use the very best materials for their paintings, the best canvas and English oil paints with some of our painters going to the extreme for detail by mixing their own pigments and color compounds in order to achieve authenticity of color and texture.

No mechanical processes are utilized by our artists, sketches are done by hand in charcoal and paint applied totally by hand on primed canvas.

Each painting is matched with the appropriate artist and the work they produce is scrupulously inspected and critiqued before it leaves the artist's easel and is prepared for dispatch to our clients.

Each painting is as individual and special to us as it is to our clients, our work is not about producing "product" its about producing "fine art" that will stand the test of time and bring the reward of beauty to its owner each day it is looked upon.

Beware! Some reproductions offered on the internet are not totally hand painted. Some companies use technicians that utilize projected images or over painted foils that would fool all but the most knowledgeable and discerning of customer.

No one can copy any painting 100%, it is impossible!

Ruby Cavalier Fine Art aim is to produce paintings that are accurate to the degree that the difference between our reproduction and the original is only visible on very close inspection.

Our aim is not to mislead anyone into believing that our paintings are originals, that would be fraud; but to reproduce a painting that shines with the essence and majesty of the original that will bring beauty and kudos to any room that displays it.

As we stated we are not trying to pass our paintings off as originals and we only reproduce the works of artists who's works have passed out of copyright and into the public domain.

Copyright laws differ slightly from country to country but as a general rule if an artist has been deceased for more than seventy years then we are legally entitled to copy his paintings and you are entitled to benefit from them.

You may be asking yourself if this is morally or intellectually correct, after all the owners of the original paintings probably paid millions for them.

Our answer is very simple.

Every artist wants as many appreciative viewers to see his work as possible.

Great works of art should not be locked up for the benefit of the few, they should be available to anyone that appreciates and loves them and is prepaid to pay a reasonable price to have them in their homes.

Reproductions do not subtract from the value of the original they increase its value by adding to its popularity and appreciation by the many.

Finally we would state this as an redoubtable fact "It is far better to have a good Reproduction on your wall and show your appreciation of fine art than to have a bad original and allude to your ignorance of the matter".
